{"id":348126,"date":"2026-09-16T07:42:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T07:42:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/348126\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T07:42:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T07:42:12","slug":"nys-ags-office-releases-drone-video-of-fatal-swat-shooting-of-elbridge-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/348126\/","title":{"rendered":"NYS AG&#8217;s Office releases drone video of fatal SWAT shooting of Elbridge man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ELBRIDGE, N.Y. \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/ag.ny.gov\/osi\/footage\/freddie-marty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Drone footage released<\/a> by the New York state Attorney General\u2019s Office is providing new details in the fatal shooting of an Elbridge man during a lengthy standoff last month.<\/p>\n<p>The video shows a SWAT team drone looking into a window at 62-year-old Fredrick Marty inside his home on Aug. 23. <\/p>\n<p>In the footage, Marty points a gun at the drone. It is unclear whether he actually shot at the drone.<\/p>\n<p>The video then shows Marty being struck by a bullet and falling to the ground. Authorities have said Marty was shot and killed by a SWAT officer inside his home.<\/p>\n<p>The standoff lasted more than five hours at a mobile home park on Route 5 in Elbridge. Authorities were called to the scene on reports that Marty had been shooting at a vehicle with someone in it.
