NEW YORK (PIX11) \u2014 A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife, according to arrest records released Tuesday evening. <\/p>\n
Mauricio Granda, 47, has been charged with murder for allegedly killing his 59-year-old wife, Maria Granda. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\t Granda was in police custody earlier Tuesday. <\/p>\n His wife had been found dead on the couch in their Brooklyn home on Monday morning, police and sources said.<\/p>\n The woman\u2019s son had called 911 for a wellness check. <\/p>\n Cops then found the victim in her home on 79th Street in Bay Ridge at around 9:30 a.m., according to the NYPD and sources. Police say the victim was found unconscious and unresponsive on the couch with trauma to the head. <\/p>\n EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. <\/p>\n The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death; an investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n Matthew Euzarraga is a multimedia journalist from El Paso, Texas.
