Three-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone<\/a> will return to the New York stage in 2027 playing former\u00a0Vogue editor-in-chief\u00a0Diana Vreeland\u00a0in a new Off-Broadway\u00a0production of the one-woman play Full Gallop, written by Mark Hampton and Mary Louise Wilson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Directed by Gordon Greenberg (Rope,\u00a0The Baker\u2019s Wife), the 12-week engagement will begin previews January 8, 2027, at NY City Center Stage II. Opening night is set for January 17.<\/p>\n

The solo show, follows Vreeland, who\u00a0“turned fashion into an empire,” according to press notes. When she is\u00a0“unceremoniously fired as editor-in-chief of Vogue, she must reinvent herself, and her industry, yet again.”<\/p>\n

After its world premiere at San Diego\u2019s Old Globe Theatre in 1995, Full Gallop had its New York premiere at MTC\u2019s Stage II, where it now returns. That earlier production, which starred co-author\u00a0Wilson, eventually played an extended run Off-Broadway at the Westside Theatre.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Additional creative team members will be announced at a later date. General management is by Baseline Theatrical<\/a>.<\/p>\n

LuPone won Tonys for her performances in Evita<\/a>, the 2008 revival of Gypsy<\/a>, and the recent revival of Company<\/a>; she won her first Olivier Award for her work in The Cradle Will Rock and Les Mis\u00e9rables, and her second for the 2019 London revival of Company.<\/p>\n

Aaron Glick<\/a> and No Guarantees Productions<\/a>\u00a0produce, in association with Manhattan Theatre Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n
