{"id":349296,"date":"2026-09-17T14:22:51","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T14:22:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/349296\/"},"modified":"2026-09-17T14:22:51","modified_gmt":"2026-09-17T14:22:51","slug":"appeal-trial-of-norwegian-queens-son-hoiby-set-for-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/349296\/","title":{"rendered":"Appeal trial of Norwegian queen&#8217;s son H\u00f8iby set for February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The appeal trial of Marius Borg H\u00f8iby, the eldest son of Norwegian Queen Mette-Marit, is set to begin on February 9 next year, the Oslo court said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">H\u00f8iby was sentenced to four years in prison in June for numerous offences &#8211; including two rapes under Norwegian law and domestic violence against a former girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He appealed against the verdict, and the court recently decided to allow the appeal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Provisionally, 16 days have been set aside for the appeal proceedings,&#8221; the court said.
