Two New England restaurants were named to the New York Times’ restaurant list for 2026.<\/p>\n
The publication announced its coveted list, naming the top 50 restaurants in the country<\/a>, with one Massachusetts restaurant and one from Maine making the cut.<\/p>\n “For the 2026 list of our 50 favorite restaurants in the United States, the scouting team was bigger than ever. As the 16 of us traveled the country, we ate in all kinds of places, from small-town Wisconsin to downtown Manhattan,” the report states. “Our picks aren\u2019t ranked, and if a restaurant was on a previous year\u2019s list, you won\u2019t see it here.”<\/p>\n Making the top 50 list were Dalia<\/a>, an immersive Spanish restaurant in Boston, and Douro<\/a>, a seafood restaurant and wine bar in Portland.<\/p>\n Dalia was mentioned for its “kaleidoscoping, through-the-looking-glass dining room,” and its unique Spanish dishes.<\/p>\n Douro’s menu was described as “Coastal Portugal meets coastal Maine,” and the writers lauded it for its waterfront location and its use of local vegetables.<\/p>\n
