FHGC had also sued West Side Tennis Club and Tiebreaker over claims of trespassing and zoning violations.

Some residents on social media have accused the venue of creating the community care liaison to encourage residents to report issues to stadium officials rather than the city, which they said would result in fewer official complaints.

Arecchi, however, said people should feel empowered to report issues to both the city and the stadium, stating that residents can obtain quick solutions to issues by reporting them to her or her colleagues but still log those issues with the city.

“You’re welcome to do both. You can call 311 and complain, but if you want something solved in real time, you should call me because 311 isn’t always going to come out and do that right away,” Arecchi said.

She added that it is “not our intent at all” that residents should report issues to her and not the city.

“We want to be able to respond to things in real time, and you can still complain to whatever channels you want to do and take it wherever you want to take it. But we encourage you to use this line as well, because we can really have that direct responsiveness.”

But some residents allege that the existence of the community care liaison discourages official reports with the city. That, in turn, impacts the issuance of permits for events at the stadium, they claimed.

“When residents are made to believe that they should be sharing their concerns with the Community Care Liaison, they are often not sharing that information with city agencies,” said local resident Jenna Cavuto. “That means that the issues that are truly happening within the community are not really getting the attention that they need.”

Cavuto further claimed that she has witnessed a transition from neighbors reporting to 311 to neighbors reporting issues to the community care liaison, which she described as “absurd.”

“At least when residents report these issues to the city agencies, there is a record of those issues being reported,” she said. “When they are reported to the community care liaison. I’d like to know where that record is being kept and how that information is being shared.”

But stadium staff have touted the effectiveness of the program, adding that it offers an opportunity to quickly resolve issues rather than waiting on a potentially busy city agency to respond.

Arecchi, in her role, is on site for every event at Forest Hills Stadium as part of efforts to reach local residents and hear their concerns. She said she has successfully reached at least 500 people, who are now in an email chain where they can receive daily updates about street closures and other concert-related issues.

She added that trash pile-ups and access have been the two most prominent concerns raised by local residents over the past two concert seasons at Forest Hills Stadium.

“Let’s say folk are parking a bit further down 69th Avenue beyond the scope of our general perimeter that the cleaning crew goes through; there might then be some trash further down the avenue,” Arecchi said. “For folks that live within the closed streets area by the stadium, a lot of what we do is making sure they have access.”

Cavuto, however, expressed doubt about the effectiveness of the program, stating that she witnessed residents reporting an illegal street vendor to stadium staff over the summer. When staff approached the vendor, the individual refused to move until police officers arrived on the scene.

“Law enforcement should be involved in those situations,” she said. “That’s not appropriate for a community care liaison to be participating in.”

John Kelly, a spokesperson for the stadium, stressed that Arecchi and the program are a “reachable voice” and a “human being” who residents can speak with about issues related to events at Forest Hills Stadium.

“You can talk to a human being who is going to care and is going to listen and is going to address,” Kelly said.

Kelly and Arecchi are now seeking to extend the reach of the community care liaison as the 2026 season draws to a close.

“Some people know about the program,” Kelly said. “But not enough do.”

Arecchi can be reached at (929)-712-1045 or by email at community@foresthillsstadium.com.

Forest Hills Stadium is seeking to spread awareness about its community care liaison initiative, which allows local residents…

[37
310,69792,76525,31689,130747,9,24,63,122,124,123,76527,69794
post-349886","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-queens","tag-daily-newsletter","tag-fhgc","tag-fhgc-lawsuit","tag-forest-hills-stadium","tag-forest-hills-stadium-community-care-liaison","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc","tag-queens","tag-queens-headlines","tag-queens-news","tag-tiebreaker","tag-west-side-tennis-club
["GET
