When Tom Cruise and Taylor Swift<\/a> shared a suite at the Kansas City Chiefs game<\/a> on Monday, plenty of fans wondered what two of entertainment’s biggest names could possibly talk about. Now, Cruise is revealing that football was a major topic of conversation.<\/p>\n

Cruise opened up about his interaction with Swift while appearing on\u00a0“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”\u00a0to promote his new film,\u00a0“Digger.” During the interview, Fallon asked what the actor and pop superstar discussed while watching Travis Kelce and the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

“She was schooling me on football,” Cruise said.<\/p>\n

“For real?” Fallon replied.<\/p>\n

“For real,” Cruise insisted.<\/p>\n

The actor went on to explain that he was impressed by Swift’s knowledge of the game.<\/p>\n

“She was bringing the football. First of all, she’s a genius,” Cruise said. “I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends, they’re a beautiful couple and magical in their own right. Everybody there in that booth.”<\/p>\n

Cruise added that attending the game was a memorable experience, especially since it had been years since he’d been to an NFL matchup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I hadn’t been to a football game since pre-Covid, where I was working and everything,” he said. “So to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot of fun … she knows her stuff.”<\/p>\n

Swift is no stranger to football these days. The singer has been attending Chiefs games for years while supporting Kelce and has become increasingly familiar with the sport throughout their relationship, including watching him and Kansas City win the Super Bowl<\/a> in February 2024.\u200b\u200c<\/p>\n

Cruise and Fallon also discussed Swift’s admission that she knew very little about football when she first started dating the Chiefs tight end. Cruise recalled Swift asking Kelce questions about the game, including what it was like to play against his brother, Jason Kelce.<\/p>\n

“She said, ‘You know, he’s so patient,'” Cruise recalled with a laugh. “I said, ‘I’m sure he was.’ I think everybody would be very patient [with her].”<\/p>\n

But according to Cruise, Swift has quickly become a student of the game.<\/p>\n

“[Now] she knows … she’s just bringing it,” he said.<\/p>\n

Football was not the only thing the pair discussed during the game. Cruise revealed that their conversation also touched on music and movies.<\/p>\n

“She’s funny. She’s got such a great sense of humor. A brilliant writer also, by the way. Brilliant musician and director. Very skilled,” he said.<\/p>\n

The “Life of a Showgirl” singer and “Top Gun” actor were seen catching up in a suite near the end of the first quarter of Monday Night Football between the Chiefs and Denver Broncos. Swift sipped a drink as she chatted with Cruise while watching Kansas City secure a victory.<\/p>\n

The NFL appearance came the same night Swift popped up during the Emmy Awards<\/a> in a pre-taped “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” sketch<\/a> alongside the show’s star and award show host, Mariska Hargitay<\/a>.<\/p>\n
