The sultry dress featured a high slit in the middle and was longer in the back. She completed the look with silver lace-up heels and soft wavy hair.<\/p>\n

She captioned the post: “All in a NYFW,” and the satin dress wasn’t the only look included in the set. Ashley donned a satin top with sequin-adorned straps with a plunging neckline as well, and she paired the top off with light-wash denim jeans and a sleek bun.<\/p>\n

The star also looked spectacular in an elegant black fitted dress with an attached white shawl that started around her neck and was floor-length, during a romantic date night out with her husband Justin Ervin. Justin looked dapper as he matched Ashley with a sharp tuxedo and bow-tie.<\/p>\n

She recalled an “aha moment” with her mom during one of those moments when she was desperate to give up on her dreams. Her mom told her: “Your body is going to change someone’s life. You have to keep going.”<\/p>\n

That message was loud and clear for Ashley and she credits her mom to this day, noting she “helped me understand my purpose.”<\/p>\n

The star used affirmations such as “I am bold, I am brilliant and I am beautiful,” and spent over a decade repeating them to herself, until she finally believed them one day. Ashley shared: “Now I know I’m bold, brilliant, and beautiful, and I’ve moved on to other words.”<\/p>\n

Through her journey, she developed a personal take on what beauty means to her, expressing: “It’s knowing who you are, for better or worse, and loving yourself anyway. It’s learning and exploring and forgiving ourselves for the ways in which we differ.
