He later died at the hospital. <\/p>\n<p>Photo via Citizen<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Traffic was snarled in and around <a href=\"https:\/\/qns.com\/neighborhoods\/long-island-city\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Long Island City<\/a> after a Brooklyn motorcycle rider died after crashing on the Queensboro Bridge on the night of Thursday, Sept. 17. <\/p>\n<p>Police from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/site\/nypd\/bureaus\/patrol\/precincts\/108th-precinct.page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">108th Precinct<\/a> in Long Island City responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:20 p.m. reporting a motor vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of the span. Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District\u2019s Collision Investigation Squad determined that the 29-year-old victim was riding a 2025 Yamaha R7 motorcycle on the Manhattan-bound ramp from Thomson Avenue onto the bridge when he failed to navigate the roadway and struck the left median.
