If weather prevents the operation, it will take place Tuesday, Sept. 22, during the same hours. A second treatment covering parts of Brooklyn and Queens is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, with Thursday, Sept. 24, as the alternate date.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"26844973-1789763506\" data-image=\"26844973-1789763506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1789781464_314_image-13.png\" data- \/> <\/p>\n<p>The Health Department will use truck-mounted equipment to apply Duet, an EPA-registered mosquito control product. The department said pesticide risks are low for people and pets, though sensitive individuals may experience temporary eye or throat irritation or a mild rash.
