Two teens riding on the same bike were struck by a truck in Manhattan Friday night \u2014 killing one and leaving the other hospitalized, cops said.<\/p>\n
The teens, aged 15 and 13, were heading along East 14th Street when they were hit by the vehicle \u2013 an excavation truck \u2013 as it turned north onto First Avenue at about 9 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Both girls were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where the 15-year-old was pronounced dead, police said.<\/p>\n

The younger girl was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n
Neither of the teens was wearing a helmet, according to witnesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bystanders were \u201cscreaming at the truck, \u2018stop, stop, stop\u2019\u201d but the driver apparently couldn\u2019t hear them, according to a witness.<\/p>\n
The witness, who declined to give his name, said the aftermath of the collision was \u201cdramatic\u201d after he ran over to help.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwo bystanders were trying to pull the girl on the right side out from under the wheel. Then the cops came and told them to stop because they could cause her more damage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe girl was bleeding. The blood was leaking towards the other side of the vehicle,\u201d the witness said, adding he \u201csaw the fire department come, doing CPR on the girl. Then the cops told everyone to walk away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bdin Puangsawasdi, owner of Kati Thai restaurant on 14th Street, ran out to the intersection after his wife heard the \u201cloud noise\u201d nearby.<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw the truck driver come out and he was crying uncontrollably,\u201d Puangsawasdi recalled to The Post.<\/p>\n
He said cops shook the girl but she didn\u2019t respond and pulled her body out from beneath the truck.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Puangsawasdi, 60, said firefighters gave the teen CPR \u201cfor about 10 minutes\u201d but he \u201cdidn\u2019t see any response and the blood was coming out from her ears.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of blood was coming out.\u201d<\/p>\n

An electric Citibike appeared to be pinned beneath the truck\u2019s tire.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel sad and sorry for the little girl and her family to see her pass away in this tragic way,\u201d the unnamed witness said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt should bring more awareness to look more. This could be prevented a hundred times,\u201d he sighed. \u201cWe have to be more aware.\u201d<\/p>\n
The witness argued that \u201cthey should have a traffic cop\u201d at the busy intersection \u201cbecause clearly the truck did not see the two girls.\u201d<\/p>\n
Puangsawasdi said that he \u201cknew something like this was gonna happen because this is a big intersection [with] a lot of reckless bicyclists.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel very bad.
