LOWELL, MA \u2013 The Manhattan Jaspers Men’s Soccer<\/a> team (2-4-0) dropped a heartbreaker to the Riverhawks of UMass Lowell (4-2-2) by a score of 2:1 inside Cushing Field on Friday evening, for its final non-conference fixture of the campaign.<\/p>\n HOW IT HAPPENED<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Green and White opened the fixture with a vengeance, with back-to-back shots on target from Tycho van Haaren<\/a> and Cristiano Marsilii<\/a> within three minutes.
\n\tThe Jaspers continued to find chances, with Mouhamadou Diagne<\/a> and Ziv Dahan<\/a> adding to the chart through the first 15 minutes.
\n\tAfter the Riverhawks struck first toward the end of the half, the Jaspers continued to claw their way back, with chances coming out of the locker room from Marsilii and Dahan once more.
\n\tAfter Philip Isaksson’s<\/a> day ended at the break, Gaspar Homar relieved the freshman and made two quality stops along his line.
\n\tAfter a foul in the Jaspers’ offensive midfield, Manhattan was awarded a free kick in the 85th minute, with van Haaren taking the set-piece chance and finding Nicolo Donadio<\/a> on the header to equalize.
\n\tThe Riverhawks found a way in the waning seconds to leap back in front, off a Giovanni Rivera<\/a> yellow card, and the game-winning header then followed.

\n\tDefender Nicolo Donadio<\/a> logged his first collegiate strike on a match-high five attempts, with two on target, while playing all 90 minutes.
\n\tForward Cristiano Marsilii<\/a> added four shots, two on target, to his resume in 90 minutes.
\n\tRedshirt junior striker Ziv Dahan<\/a> posted three shots, one on target, in 90 minutes.
\n\tDefender Max Asplin-Rowley<\/a> registered two shots in 90 minutes.
\n\tForward Tycho van Haaren<\/a> recorded one shot on target and assisted on the Donadio marker, totaling 50 minutes on the field.
\n\tFreshman goalkeeper Philip Isaksson<\/a> recorded a no-decision in his first collegiate start, allowing one goal, with two saves, and played the first half.
\n\tGoalkeeper Gaspar Homar finished the contest with three saves while surrendering one goal.
\n\tDespite the loss, the Green and White outshot the Riverhawks 18-13, while both teams combined for 32 fouls.
