Facing first-and-10 from the Steelers\u2019 33, Patriots quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MayeDr00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.steelcityunderground.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-20_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Drake Maye<\/a> looked downfield for tight end <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HenrHu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.steelcityunderground.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-20_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hunter Henry<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maye\u2019s pass was underthrown, and Queen was in position to make him pay.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"9q2k_ST_TnVBzUMVrr6Wtg\" class=\"gie-single\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2296280366\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Steelers linebacker intercepted the pass at Pittsburgh\u2019s 10-yard line and returned it three yards, ending a promising Patriots possession and giving the offense the football with an opportunity to cut into New England\u2019s 10-3 lead.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Drake Maye picked off by Patrick Queen \ud83d\udc40<\/p>\n<p>PITvsNE on CBS\/Paramount+<br \/>Stream on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NFLPlus?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">@NFLPlus<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/EucKKzlBze\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/EucKKzlBze<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NFL (@NFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NFL\/status\/2101745086333907072?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">September 20, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was Queen\u2019s first interception of the 2026 season and Pittsburgh\u2019s second takeaway of the game. The Steelers defense had already forced a turnover in the first quarter when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HerbNi00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.steelcityunderground.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-20_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Nick Herbig<\/a> knocked the ball loose from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/StevRh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.steelcityunderground.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-20_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rhamondre Stevenson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WilsPa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.steelcityunderground.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-20_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Payton Wilson<\/a> recovered it.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Pittsburgh couldn\u2019t capitalize on Queen\u2019s interception. The ensuing possession reached only the Steelers\u2019 42-yard line before the offense was forced to punt.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Queen\u2019s interception was another example of a Steelers defense that continued to create opportunities despite receiving little help on the scoreboard.
