Mineola Public Schools high school student musicians were selected to participate in the 2026 New York State School Music Association All-State Music Festival, taking place Dec. 3\u20136 in Rochester, NY.<\/p>\n

Mineola will be represented at the festival by seniors Brooke Anzalone and Sienna Marcial, both Alto 2s who will perform with the Treble Chorus.<\/p>\n

Over 6,000 high school sophomores and juniors audition for All-State each year and only 600 are accepted statewide. To be accepted, students must receive a perfect score in a formal audition which includes performance of a solo and a sight-reading exam.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extraordinarily proud of Brooke and Sienna for earning a place in the NYSSMA All-State Treble Chorus,\u201d said Mineola High School Vocal Music teacher Dr. Megan Messina. \u201cAchieving a perfect score in such a demanding audition process speaks volumes about their dedication, musicianship and work ethic.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the festival, the Mineola learners will rehearse and perform with nationally recognized conductors and selected students from throughout New York State. This experience offers them an opportunity to learn and share knowledge with a vast array of talented musicians from a variety of regions and backgrounds.<\/p>\n
