Italian food hall’s Flatiron location<\/a> is stretching this year\u2019s Negroni Week into a series of cocktail events through 27, including guest appearances from the acclaimed Greenwich Village bar Dante, New York Cocktail Company, Bar Enzo and Italian liqueur brand Italicus.<\/p>\nThe festivities begin today, Monday, September 21, with a guest bartender shift at Amalfi, Eataly\u2019s rooftop restaurant. From 5 to 8 pm, bartenders from Dante and New York Cocktail Company will take over the bar with a special cocktail menu created for the occasion. (The drinks debut this evening, but they’ll remain available throughout the week, so procrastinators will still have time to conduct their own extremely serious Negroni research.)<\/p>\n
On Thursday, September 24, the party moves downstairs to La Piazza for a Negroni Week edition of Eataly\u2019s Midweek Social. Held from 5 to 8 pm, the event will feature DJ sets, a Negroni and a selection of light bites. Tickets cost $25 per person, and additional drinks will be available for purchase.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Amalfi gets another round on Friday, September 25, when Italicus and New York City\u2019s Bar Enzo step behind the bar from 6 to 8 pm. The evening\u2019s featured drinks will include a Negroni, naturally, alongside cocktails incorporating Italicus, a citrusy Italian bergamot liqueur. Visitors who can\u2019t make a scheduled event can still stop by La Piazza throughout the week for Campari cocktails.<\/p>\n
Founded by Imbibe magazine in 2013, Negroni Week began with roughly 120 participating venues and has since expanded to thousands of bars and restaurants worldwide. The initiative has raised more than $5 million for charitable organizations.
