One of the main trends at New York’s Spring\/Summer 2027 Fashion Week<\/a> was wearability. While each designer approached the theme differently, a common thread ran through the collections: elevated everyday dressing, beautifully tailored clothes and understated elegance. The runway<\/a> was rich and polished, offering everything from classic American sportswear and refined tailoring to bold color, playful prints and theatrical styling.<\/p>\n

Calvin Klein<\/p>\n

At Calvin Klein, the looks were simple yet beautifully executed, with a hint of ’90s nostalgia<\/a>. The collection marked a noticeable return to familiar silhouettes, including belted coats and clean, streamlined shapes. Color-blocking was another standout feature and a trend<\/a> that surfaced throughout the week, with flashes of electric blue, yellow and pink\u2014adding energy to an otherwise pared-back palette.<\/p>\n

Coach<\/p>\n

Celebrating the company’s 85th anniversary, designer Stuart Vevers produced a collection with a distinct New York aesthetic. Earthy tones and utilitarian details gave it a relaxed, practical feel, while long dresses added sensuality and softness. For the finale, models appeared in party hats as they closed the show.<\/p>\n

Tommy Hilfiger<\/p>\n

Opening with Gigi Hadid, the Tommy Hilfiger collection was nothing short of spectacular. Strong outlines and classic Americana codes in red, white and blue created a preppy look that felt contemporary, playful and highly wearable. The collection brought a fresh energy to his familiar American style, balancing polished tailoring with a relaxed, youthful attitude.<\/p>\n

Sandy Liang<\/p>\n

Mona Kattan, founder and chief executive officer of KAYALI, told me in an email that this season the brand partnered with designer Sandy Liang, bringing its Vanilla 28 fragrance as an extension of the designer’s Spring\/Summer 2027 collection.<\/p>\n

“Fashion and fragrance have always gone hand in hand for me because they’re both such powerful forms of self-expression,” Kattan explained. “I’ve always believed fragrance is the final touch to any look\u2014it’s that invisible accessory that can completely change how you feel and how you show up,” she said.<\/p>\n

Liang’s collection was delicate and feminine, with an athleisure influence. Pastel shades of lilac, pale blue and soft pink contrasted with forest green and black, adding versatility to the presentation. From miniskirts to longer dresses, the designer’s work was beautifully tailored and projected confidence with a hint of romance, while the attention to detail created a distinct mood and told a story.<\/p>\n

Proenza Schouler<\/p>\n

For Spring\/Summer 2027, Proenza Schouler’s show was feminine and assured. Animal prints in black and red, and black and white, added character to several looks. From trouser suits to shirt-and-skirt ensembles, the designers’ sensitivity to cut and proportion translated into sophisticated, everyday designs.<\/p>\n

Carolina Herrera<\/p>\n

Carolina Herrera celebrated the 45th anniversary of its maison with a collection that embraced color and a classic ladylike aesthetic. From dresses to separates, polka dots and check patterns appeared alongside plenty of bright summery shades, including red, blue and yellow. Accessories were playful and bold, with headscarves and oversized jewellery providing the perfect finishing touches and giving the looks a modern feel.<\/p>\n

Thom Browne<\/p>\n

Inspired by A Bug’s Life, Thom Browne’s show drew on nature, with references ranging from subtle to literal, including ladybug and butterfly dresses. Short skirts and plenty of blazers were beautifully accessorized, while hats added a distinctly summery feel to the collection. While the clothes remained highly wearable, the theatrical styling evoked the spirit of vintage explorers, making it a fitting show to close such an eventful New York Fashion Week.<\/p>\n
