Several new actors will join the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, while some current cast members will step into new roles, starting in October.<\/p>\n
Welcome to Tulsa! The Outsiders<\/a> has announced casting updates for the production now in its third year at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre<\/a>.<\/p>\n Original cast member Daryl Tofa<\/a> plays his final performance as Two-Bit on October 11. On October 13, current cast member Derek Jordan Taylor takes over the role, and Joah Ditto joins the cast as a full-time swing.<\/p>\n Tofa will play one final stint in The Outsiders as Dallas Winston from October 24 to November 15 while current cast member SeQuoiia<\/a> appears in the New York City Center production of In the Heights<\/a>.<\/p>\n Original cast member Victor Carrillo Tracey<\/a> plays his final performance as Paul on October 11. Jackson Reagin, who currently plays the role on tour, makes his Broadway debut as Paul on October 23.<\/p>\n Continuing cast members include Noah Pacht<\/a> as Ponyboy Curtis, Caleb Mathura<\/a> as Johnny Cade, Sutton James Kaylor<\/a> as Sodapop Curtis, Nicholas McDonough<\/a> as Bob, Dan Berry<\/a> as Darrel Curtis, and Emma Pittman<\/a> as Cherry Valance.<\/p>\n Adapted from S. E. Hinton’s classic 1967 novel, The Outsiders follows teenage gang members searching for belonging, brotherhood, and survival in a world that’s all but abandoned them. The show won Best Musical at the 2024 Tony Awards as well as Best Director of a Musical for Danya Taymor.<\/p>\n
