The perpetrator then struck the victim with an unknown blunt object, but the attack did not end there.<\/p>\n<p>Cops said the deranged assailant pulled out a box cutter and slashed the man across the neck. The perpetrator then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.<\/p>\n<p>Officers from the 50th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Paramedics brought the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment of a head injury and a gash on the left side of his neck; he was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
