The NYPD has released a photo of the scooter-riding brute<\/a> who allegedly gunned down Malaki Adams, 14, in Queens Monday afternoon, with the shooting being probed as a targeted killing, sources said.<\/p>\n

Pictures show Adams\u2019 alleged killer masked up, wearing a black hoodie and checkered gray pants \u2014 and seen riding a kick scooter. Sources told The Post the alleged shooter stole Adams\u2019 scooter after blasting him in the back around 3:40 p.m.<\/p>\n

The gunman may have deliberately targeted Adams, who was riding his scooter when the perp ran up on him with a gun.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Adams then tried to flee from the shooter, before the creep blasted him and sped off on it, according to sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was last seen heading eastbound on Norton Avenue in Edgemere on Monday<\/a>, cops said.<\/p>\n

The teen was rushed to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he later died, according to authorities<\/p>\n

Friends and neighbors were torn by the teenager\u2019s death, with many suggesting that Adams may have been the victim of violence by one of the neighborhood\u2019s many gangs.\u00a0 GoFundMe<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s sweet and lovely,\u201d remembered London, 16, who is friends with Adams\u2019 sister.\u00a0<\/p>\n

London also claimed Adams\u2019 killing was \u201ca gang shooting,\u201d but couldn\u2019t say for sure whether Adams himself was in a gang.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One local said he heard two shots when Adams was killed, and told The Post that had seen the alleged shooter around the neighborhood before the shooting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see the mask! He ain\u2019t letting no one see his face,\u201d the man said. \u201cAll these gangs here. You see him too if you sit here long enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a fundraiser for her son\u2019s burial expenses, Adams\u2019 mother, Alexis Credle, remembered her \u201cbeautiful son.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy baby, you were taken from me far too soon,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n

\u201cI will carry you in my heart every single day for the rest of my life.
