Decrepit Harvey Weinstein will finally learn his fate<\/a> in a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday \u2014 as the disgraced Hollywood mogul faces up to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting a former TV production worker.<\/p>\n

Weinstein, 74, was convicted in June 2025 of first-degree criminal sex act<\/a> for attacking former \u201cProject Runway\u201d production assistant Miriam \u201cMimi\u201d Haley inside his SoHo apartment in 2006.<\/p>\n

The Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s Office is arguing that Weinstein should be locked up for 20 years on the conviction, citing the \u201csignificant harms\u201d the ex-Miramax boss caused to Haley.<\/p>\n

The once powerful producer\u2019s long-delayed sentencing comes nearly a decade after an avalanche of sexual misconduct allegations ended his career and kick-started the #MeToo movement. <\/p>\n

He was first found guilty of sexually assaulting Haley<\/a> and raping actress Jessica Mann following a trial in Manhattan Supreme Court in 2020.<\/p>\n

But Weinstein\u2019s conviction was overturned by New York\u2019s highest court<\/a>, and a new trial was ordered.<\/p>\n

The Tinseltown tycoon went on trial again in 2025 with a new accuser, Kaja Sokola, alleging that she had been sexually assaulted by Weinstein when she was a teen.<\/p>\n

Jurors in that trial convicted Weinstein of raping Haley but found him not guilty on the Sokola rap.<\/p>\n

The panelists were not able to reach a verdict pertaining to Mann\u2019s allegations<\/a>, which forced Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Curtis Farber to declare a mistrial \u2014 leading prosecutors to try the case for a third time earlier this year.<\/p>\n

In that trial, jurors again could not reach a unanimous decision on Mann\u2019s allegation, leading Farber to again declare a mistrial.<\/p>\n

But the DA\u2019s Office said it would not try the case for a fourth time after the alleged victim said she couldn\u2019t endure it again.<\/p>\n

Haley testified in two of Weinstein\u2019s trials<\/a> where she emotionally detailed how she was brutally raped by him inside his apartment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was trying to get him off of me. I was trying to push him away from me. I was trying to get him to stop kissing me and grabbing me,\u201d Haley told jurors at Weinstein\u2019s retrial in <\/a>2025. \u201cThe unthinkable was happening \u2026 I didn\u2019t know when it was ending.\u201d<\/p>\n
