Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday, after being convicted for sexually assaulting former \u201cProject Runway\u201d production assistant Miriam \u201cMimi\u201d Haley in 2006.<\/p>\n
The 74-year-old disgraced movie mogul appeared in a downtown Manhattan courtroom in a wheelchair when he learned his fate, according to The Post.<\/a><\/p>\n Prosecutors wanted Weinstein to get 20 years behind bars, while his lawyers asked for a nine-year sentence.<\/p>\n Weinstein\u2019s sentencing will be followed by five years of supervised release and a requirement that he register as a sex offender.<\/p>\n Harvey Weinstein (seen here) was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his New York sexual assault case. I was trying to push him away from me.
