{"id":355117,"date":"2026-09-23T23:22:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T23:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/355117\/"},"modified":"2026-09-23T23:22:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T23:22:08","slug":"two-arrested-following-search-warrant-in-syracuse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/355117\/","title":{"rendered":"Two arrested following search warrant in Syracuse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On September 22, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the New York State Police Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), with assistance from the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), Community Stabilization Unit (CSU), Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), uniformed Troopers, and State Police K9, executed a search warrant at 1208 James Street in the city of Syracuse.<\/p>\n<p>During the search, investigators seized approximately 155.9 grams of cocaine, 22.2 grams of crack cocaine, numerous Suboxone strips, a 12-gauge shotgun, digital scales, packaging materials, a cutting agent, and $8,277 in U.S. currency.<\/p>\n<p>Akeem R. Brown, age 42, was arrested and charged with:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (Class A-II felony)<br \/>\u2022 Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (Class B felony)<br \/>\u2022 Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A misdemeanor)<br \/>\u2022 Three counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor)<\/p>\n<p>Quanisha D.
