The lonely Roblox widow<\/a> who claimed an icy-eyed gigolo scammed her out of $6 million<\/a> divulged a jaw-dropping detail during a confrontation in her lawyer\u2019s office \u2014 revealing her father-in-law was an infamous wife-murderer, according to a transcript of the meeting.<\/p>\n

She also claims the in-law threatened to kill her, too.<\/p>\n

Marianne Flippo, 49 \u2014 who accuses silver-haired Greggory Starr<\/a> of milking her out of millions following the suicide of her wealthy Roblox programmer husband \u2014 made the wild disclosure while arguing with her attorney, audio transcripts filed in Manhattan Supreme Court reveal.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy deceased husband, his father, who\u2019s a pastor of a church\u2026 he was a murderer,\u201d Flippo told her attorney, Larry Hutcher, according to the transcript.<\/p>\n

Turns out her father-in-law was James Michael Flippo, an infamous West Virginia pastor who brutally bludgeoned to death his wife, Cheryl, in a remote state-park cabin back in 1996.<\/p>\n

The bombshell relation came out during a July 7 meeting between Flippo, Starr and Hutcher in the attorney\u2019s Manhattan office, the transcript shows.<\/p>\n

Flippo shot back that she wasn\u2019t afraid of Starr \u2014 a West Point and law school grad \u2014 because she had survived sleeping under the same roof as a real killer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI slept in the same house with him,\u201d Flippo said, according to the court-filed transcript. \u201cHe\u2019d already murdered his wife. I had to sleep under the same roof with him, and he had already threatened to murder me\u2026 I\u2019m not afraid.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know the story\u2026 I looked it up,\u201d Hutcher responded in the transcript.<\/p>\n

The tragic story from three decades ago<\/a> reads like a modern-day \u201cDouble Indemnity\u201d screenplay, filled with life insurance fraud \u2014 and a possible gay affair.<\/p>\n

Her former father-in-law, James Flippo, now 78, initially claimed his wife was being stalked and was killed by a mystery stalker who burst into a state-park cabin during a weekend getaway and attacked them both as they slept, according to reports at the time.<\/p>\n

When he awoke, James Flippo told police he discovered his wife had been beaten to death \u2014 so severely that her \u201cbrain matter was exposed,\u201d according to a court ruling.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

But investigators said they found no evidence of a break-in, and claimed the killing was an attempt to cash in on a huge life insurance policy he had just taken out in her name only a month earlier.<\/p>\n

The case even reached the U.S. Supreme Court, which tossed his conviction in 1999 over mishandling evidence<\/a> \u2014 which included a briefcase filled with intimate photos of a man that prosecutors claimed James Flippo was romantically linked to, arguing the murder was partially due to his wife discovering the affair.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A state court ruled the conviction should still stand and affirmed his life sentence without parole,<\/a> which he is currently serving in West Virginia\u2019s only maximum-security prison<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The court transcript in which the killer dad-in-law was mentioned recorded a meeting in which Hutcher had threatened to put Flippo under emergency guardianship to protect her fortune, the choppy transcript claims.\u00a0<\/p>\n
