Braunstein (top left) with com\u00admunity leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Community activist Mrs. Irene Cheung hosted a successful fundraiser for the reelection of Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein on Thursday, September 17 at the Ivory Kitchen restaurant in Douglaston. Assem\u00adblyman Braunstein is running for re-elec\u00adtion to the 26th District in Queens.<\/p>\n<p>An excellent buffet luncheon was served. Juan Giovanni Urena serenaded everyone with international songs, motivat\u00ading dancing by the participants. Asian melodies were sung by Echo, a famous Asian American singer. Prominent commu\u00adnity activists and business leaders attended, showing their support for the assembly\u00adman.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cEverybody in Northeast Queens wants the same thing,\u201d said Assemblyman Braun\u00adstein. \u201cWe have great schools. We have a safe community in a safe lifestyle. I\u2019ve been in office for 16 years. It\u2019s been a priv\u00adilege to represent Eastern Queens. In this community, we all want the same things, our neighborhoods are safe and quiet with a lot of green space. I\u2019m going to continue to fight for that, supporting law enforce\u00adment. Braunstein (standing) with Irene Cheung (standing).<\/p>\n<p>Assemblyman Braunstein was elected to the New York State Assembly in 2010 to represent the 26th District in Northeast Queens, which includes the neighborhoods of Auburndale, Bay Terrace, Bayside, Bay\u00adside Hills, Broadway-Flushing, Douglas\u00adton, Floral Park, Glen Oaks, Little Neck, New Hyde Park, North Shore Towers, Oak\u00adland Gardens, and Whitestone.
