Queens Of The Stone Age<\/a> have shared another new single, \u2018Where The Goth Girls At?\u2019. Listen below.<\/p>\n

The song serves as the third preview of Josh Homme<\/a> and co\u2019s ninth studio album, \u2018Perfecth\u2019<\/a>, which is released on October 30. It follows recent tracks \u2018Insignificant Other\u2019<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0\u2018Easy Street\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Where The Goth Girls At?\u2019 pairs minimalist riffs with an explosive chorus, amplified by some rich string and horn arrangements.<\/p>\n

Homme drew inspiration for the nostalgic track from his youth in a Palm Desert suburb, and reflects on themes of teen romance and the desire to impress others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWatching the goth girls working the counter at JCPenney and giving goth makeovers to the old ladies, that\u2019s when I knew the only place I want to be is where the goth girls at,\u201d explained the frontman. \u201cTeenage love, ain\u2019t it grand?\u201d<\/p>\n

The chaotic and bizarre accompanying music video sees Queens reunite with \u2018Easy Street\u2019 video directors Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski. It features appearances from comedian Steve Agee, dancer\/artist Scarlett Kapella, and singer\/actress Lou Lou Safran.<\/p>\n

QOTSA members star in the visuals, too, as a copious amount of black ink takes over a deserted power plant. The titular\u00a0goth girls command authority and self-assurance as they transform everyone they encounter into their ultimate form.<\/p>\n

\u2018Perfecth\u2019 follows on from QOTSA\u2019s acclaimed 2023 album \u2018In Times New Roman\u2019<\/a>. The new record\u2019s title comes from the concept that \u201cperfect\u201d as a word has never been honest and doesn\u2019t exist, so Homme created a more fitting word.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be \u2018perfecth\u2019,\u201d he said in a statement. \u201cAnd that title is funny when you\u2019re in a group, but it ain\u2019t so funny when you\u2019re alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album\u2019s central theme was also inspired by Kintsugi (the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by filling its cracks with gold). \u2018Perfecth\u2019 contains nine songs, tackling different forms of love, and exploring \u201cfamily, friends, and others both significant and insignificant\u201d.<\/p>\n

QOTSA are set to end their current stint supporting Foo Fighters<\/a> on Saturday (September 26) in Las Vegas, after their appearance at Bourbon & Beyond 2026 tomorrow (Thursday September 24).<\/p>\n
