A whole new principal company went way down under the ground in the Tony-winning Best Musical Hadestown<\/a> beginning
\n September 1 at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theatre. Check out new photos of the current cast in the gallery below.<\/p>\n

The new company is led by Jasmin Savoy Brown<\/a> (Yellowjackets, Scream, The Leftovers) as Eurydice, two-time Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz<\/a> (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels<\/a>, Catch Me if You Can) as Hermes, Tony nominee Amber Iman<\/a> (Lempicka<\/a>, Black Swan) as Persephone, pop-rock musician and songwriter Kayko in his Broadway debut as Orpheus, and Tony Honoree Ben Davis<\/a> (Ragtime, Baz Luhrmann\u2019s La Boh\u00e8me) as Hades.<\/p>\n

These\u00a0actors joined Kelly Belarmino<\/a>, KC Dela Cruz<\/a>, and Khori
\nMichelle Petinaud as the Fates, with the chorus of Workers played by
\nEmily Afton<\/a>, Malcolm Armwood<\/a>, Jeffrey Cornelius<\/a>, Sydney Parra<\/a>, and Alex
\nPuette. Swings are Brandon Cameron<\/a>, Tara Jackson<\/a>, Max Kumangai, and Alex
\n Lugo.<\/p>\n

Hadestown\u202fis now in its eighth year on Broadway and in its
\nthird year in the West End (returning to London, five years after its
\n2018 engagement at the National Theatre). The record-breaking North
\nAmerican tour completed its three-year run in 2024, and productions have
\n played to acclaim across the globe in South Korea, Sydney, Melbourne,
\nand Amsterdam. The film version<\/a> of Hadestown was a recent hit in cinemas.<\/p>\n

Singer-songwriter Ana\u00efs Mitchell\u2019s folk- and jazz-infused musical
\nlayers the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice with that of Hades and
\nPersephone, intertwining the actions\u2014and consequences\u2014of gods and
\nmortals. Hadestown originally began as a theatrical concert performed by Mitchell.<\/p>\n

The creative team features Tony-winning set designer Rachel Hauck<\/a>,
\nTony-nominated costume designer Michael Krass<\/a>, Tony-winning lighting
\ndesigner Bradley King<\/a>, Tony-winning sound designers Nevin Steinberg<\/a> and
\nJessica Paz<\/a>, choreographer David Neumann<\/a>, and dramaturg Ken Cerniglia<\/a>.
\nMusical supervision and vocal arrangements are by Liam Robinson<\/a>, with
\narrangements and orchestrations by Tony winners Michael Chorney<\/a> and Todd
\n Sickafoose.<\/p>\n

The show, featuring a book and score by Mitchell, won eight 2019 Tony
\n Awards: Best Director of a Musical (Rachel Chavkin<\/a>), Best Featured
\nActor in a Musical (Andr\u00e9 De Shields<\/a>), Best Lighting Design of a Musical
\n (Bradley King), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Rachel Hauck), Best
