SYRACUSE, N.Y. \u2014 New York State Police seized more than 175 grams of cocaine, a 12-gauge shotgun and $8,277 in cash during a search of a Syracuse home Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Members of the Troop D Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, with assistance from other State Police units, executed a search warrant around 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at 1208 James St., according to state police.<\/p>\n
Investigators seized approximately 155.9 grams of cocaine and 22.2 grams of crack cocaine, as well as numerous Suboxone strips, digital scales, packaging materials, a cutting agent and the cash, Troopers said.<\/p>\n
Akeem R. Brown, 42, was arrested and charged with:<\/p>\n
Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, a Class A-II felonyCriminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felonyCriminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanorThree counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanors<\/p>\n
Quanisha D. Duncan, 30, was arrested and charged with first-degree failure to safely store rifles, shotguns and firearms, a Class A misdemeanor.<\/p>\n
Both were taken to State Police in North Syracuse for processing. Duncan was released on an appearance ticket, while Brown was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center for arraignment.<\/p>\n
