Here\u2019s everywhere you should be staying and dining, and everything you should be enjoying, in Manhattan<\/a> this fall.<\/p>\n

Brasserie Boulud: \u201cIn France, it\u2019s \u2018le grand restaurant\u2019 of everyday life\u2014lively, generous, open from morning to late,\u201d says chef Daniel Boulud<\/a>, \u201cwith seasonal classics, great seafood, and dishes that reflect both regional tradition and the spirit of grande cuisine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sushi Yoshitake: This is Japanese chef Masahiro Yoshitake\u2019s first restaurant in the Big Apple, following Michelin-starred outposts in Tokyo and Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u2026Imitation of Life<\/a>, a new musical by the inimitable Lynn Nottage, the only woman in history to win two Pulitzer Prizes for Drama, with music and lyrics by John Legend. Tickets are from ~$71 to $500+.<\/p>\n

Why don\u2019t more Americans know the name Kos Evans? The fearless action and yachting photographer has spent 40 years capturing iconic images while dangling from the top of a 200-foot mast or diving beneath the keel of a racing boat. She was the go-to choice for an America\u2019s Cup<\/a> final or a water sequence of a Bond movie, embracing the sea as a \u201cmoving canvas.\u201d Though she lives just across the Atlantic, where she\u2019s well known in her native England; has exhibited in London, Saint-Tropez, Barcelona, and Monaco; and has King Juan Carlos of Spain saved as \u2018King\u2019 in her cell, she\u2019s only just cracked into the U.S. market this year. Evans\u2019 exhibition \u201cRock and Royals\u201d will spend the month of November in Manhattan at New York Design Center\u2019s Gallery at 200 Lex<\/a>, following its American debut in Nantucket this August.<\/p>\n

\n\tThese maritime destinations are a fitting place for Evans\u2019s collection of images handprinted onto heritage yacht sails, each with its own pedigree. The sails once belonged to President John F. Kennedy (yacht Manitou), King Juan Carlos of Spain, King George V (Britannia), Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (family yacht Bloodhound), Sir Ben Ainslie\u2019s AC75 Britannia, a challenger in the 37th America\u2019s Cup in Barcelona, and the Who\u2019s Pete Townshend\u2014the \u201crock\u201d to the \u201croyals.\u201d<\/p>\n
