Alexandria’s own Brooklyn Marie is making a big impression on national television.<\/p>\n
The 14-year-old singer appeared during the Blind Auditions on Season 30 of The Voice, performing Olivia Rodrigo’s Traitor while accompanying herself on guitar. Her performance earned chair turns from both Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah. Queen Latifah was especially impressed, saying, “What is this?!” after learning Brooklyn’s age and praising her unique voice and stage presence.<\/p>\n
Even coaches who didn’t turn around had high praise. Adam Levine called Brooklyn’s performance “amazing,” while Riley Green told her she was a better singer than he is.<\/p>\n
When it came time to choose a coach, Brooklyn selected Kelly Clarkson, joining Team Kelly as she continues her journey on the show. Clarkson later called Brooklyn’s voice “incredible” and said she believes the Alexandria teen could win the competition.<\/p>\n
Brooklyn joined JP on the C & D Granite Morning Show Thursday morning, where she talked about her experience on The Voice, what it was like performing in front of the celebrity coaches, and the support she’s received from Alexandria throughout her journey.<\/p>\n
