{"id":356146,"date":"2026-09-24T22:46:46","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T22:46:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/356146\/"},"modified":"2026-09-24T22:46:46","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T22:46:46","slug":"news-12-the-bronx-632","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/356146\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | The Bronx"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Officials have identified the man <a href=\"https:\/\/bronx.news12.com\/driver-going-wrong-way-fatally-strikes-man-in-the-bronx-police-say\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fatally struck by a driver<\/a> going the wrong way in the Tremont section of the Bronx early Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The New York City Department of Transportation says 68-year-old Ismael Rodriguez, of the Bronx, was attempting to cross the intersection of Park Avenue and East Tremont Avenue around 5:55 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the preliminary investigation shows a white car heading north in the southbound lane of Park Avenue as it approached East Tremont Avenue.
