Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez visited Buffalo on Thursday as part of a statewide tour.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat visited with Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan before hosting an event aimed at turning out registered Democrats that don&#8217;t normally head to the polls.<\/p>\n<p>The training focused on targeting inactive voters who, if they don&#8217;t vote in November, might get purged from voter rolls.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is oftentimes such a discouraging experience that a person finally shows up, and when they&#8217;re turned away, they say, &#8216;I&#8217;m done forever,'&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Republican lawmakers also gathered to voice their opposition to Ocasio-Cortez. They rallied against what they call socialist policies and the growing socialist agenda in the Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">New York City Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AOC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">@AOC<\/a> was in Buffalo on Thursday to meet with Mayor Sean Ryan and host an event aimed at turning out registered Democrats that don&#8217;t normally head to the polls.
