\n New York City is honoring the legacy and impact of the late Billy Jones \u2014 the co-founder of Baby’s All Right, Nightclub 101, and Funny Bar.\n <\/p>\n
\n Today, Baby’s All Right shared that on October 18, the City will rename the stretch of Broadway in front of Baby’s All Right between Bedford and Driggs as “Billy Jones Way.\u201d A ceremony will commence on that date at 5:30 p.m. ET to mark the official renaming. It will be followed by a free party with performances and DJ sets by a secret set of artists, previewed as a group of “all stars” per a press release. The event is open to RSVPs here.<\/a>\n <\/p>\n \n Jones, who tragically passed away in 2025<\/a>, made an indelible impact on New York City’s ecosystem. Beginning his career as booker for venues Sin-\u00e9, Elvis Guesthouse, and The Dance, Jones would go on to co-found Baby’s All Right in 2013. The venue quickly became a central hub in Brooklyn’s burgeoning indie scene and an enduring favorite of major artists like Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Charli xcx who all held intimate performances in the buzzy space. Lorde, who also performed there, even name checked<\/a> it in her 2025 hit, “What Was That,” singing, “When I’m in the blue light, down at Baby’s All Right \/ I face reality.”\n <\/p>\n \n In 2025, Jones and longtime business partner Tom Moore opened additional venues in the East Village, Nightclub 101 and Funny Bar \u2014 both of which also quickly became touch stones of New York City’s music scene. Just in the past year, many of The FADER’s most essential rising artists have played at Nightclub 101 such as Tiffany Day, 1LDK, Nirosta Steel, Chanel Beads, The Femcels, and more. Funny Bar, which is normally a bar and restaurant, has also hosted events with musicians, such as Trim \u2014 who The FADER caught performing there<\/a> during the launch of a new literary dating app, ReadMe. Both venues’ continued centrality to the burgeoning music scene in NYC is a testament to Jones’ vision.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cWe are beyond grateful to see Billy\u2019s legacy honored by the city in this way,\u201d says Tom Moore, the owner and CEO of the aforementioned venues. \u201cHe was more than a tastemaker.
