Williamsburg is getting a new street name \u2014 one that will honor a Brooklyn music figure who helped make the neighborhood a destination for live music.<\/p>\n

The City of New York will dedicate the stretch of Broadway in front of Baby\u2019s All Right to Billy Jones, the beloved co-founder of the Williamsburg<\/a> music venue who died in 2025.<\/p>\n

The street, running between Bedford and Driggs avenues, will officially become \u201cBilly Jones Way\u201d during a dedication on Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m. outside Baby\u2019s All Right.<\/p>\n

The ceremony will be followed by a free party at the venue featuring live performances and DJ sets from a secret lineup of artists connected to the club\u2019s history. The lineup has not yet been announced.<\/p>\n

Jones co-founded Baby\u2019s All Right<\/a> in 2013 with longtime business partner Tom Moore after working as a booker at venues including Sin-\u00e9, Elvis Guesthouse and The Dance.<\/p>\n

The club quickly became a home for Brooklyn\u2019s indie and experimental music communities while also hosting performances by major artists including Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Lorde and Charli XCX.<\/p>\n

Tom Moore, Baby\u2019s All Right\u2019s owner and CEO, said the venue is \u201cbeyond grateful to see Billy\u2019s legacy honored by the city in this way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is fitting because he was more than a tastemaker \u2014 Billy Jones didn\u2019t let a soul forget for one second that a concert was about having fun, taking a chance and knowing that anything could be the start of a story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones and Moore continued expanding their nightlife footprint in 2025 while maintaining the intimate spirit of Baby\u2019s All Right. The pair opened Night Club 101 in the East Village and Funny Bar on the Lower East Side, adding to Jones\u2019 influence across New York\u2019s music and cultural scenes.<\/p>\n

The upcoming dedication will bring that legacy back to the Williamsburg block where Jones helped build Baby\u2019s All Right into one of Brooklyn\u2019s best-known live music venues.<\/p>\n

The motion was sponsored by Council Member Jennifer Guti\u00e9rrez, who represents District 34. She expressed her excitement to \u201ccelebrate Billy Jones and the legacy he leaves behind in Williamsburg\u201d on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Nicole Jones Holland, Jones\u2019 sister, made a statement about the naming on Facebook<\/a>. She said that she was \u201cexcited that this idea was born from a group of his very special friends who went the distance to get it done. To witness people working so hard to do something for my brother has been amazing. Thank you just doesn\u2019t cut it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the naming is about \u201cDreaming. Working. Giving. Loving. Connecting. Clawing his way. Never quitting. And never giving up on goals that were planted in his heart decades earlier. The sign just signifies the impact that one person can have on so many.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d rather have him than all these amazing things,\u201d Holland added.<\/p>\n

The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, followed by a free celebration at Baby\u2019s All Right.<\/p>\n
