But now Schoen will have to decide whether to give him a big contract this offseason.<\/p>\n
Misses<\/p>\n
Drafting Evan Neal<\/p>\n
Drafted with the No. 7 pick in 2022, he has been unplayably bad. <\/p>\n
Through 10 games this year, he\u2019s been a healthy scratch nine times and did not play a single snap the one game he suited up. <\/p>\n

The hope he could transition from tackle to guard was a failure.<\/p>\n
Trading up and drafting Deonte Banks<\/p>\n
Schoen gave up a 2023 fifth- and seventh-round pick to move up one spot \u2014 from No. 25 to No. 24 \u2014 to draft the cornerback. <\/p>\n
But he has been brutal and lost his starting job this year, only seeing action when those ahead of him are hurt.<\/p>\n
And when that happens, he is hard to watch.<\/p>\n
Trading up and drafting Jalin Hyatt<\/p>\n
Another player Schoen traded up to draft, giving up a 2023 third- and fourth-rounder to move up in the third round and take the speedy receiver. <\/p>\n
But he has failed to make an impact, with 452 career receiving yards \u2014 the vast majority of which came as a rookie \u2014 and no touchdowns. <\/p>\n
This year, he\u2019s completely fallen out of the game plan.<\/p>\n
Daniel Jones contract<\/p>\n
Yes, Jones is now thriving with the Colts.<\/p>\n
But he was a disaster immediately after Schoen gave him a four-year, $160 million deal \u2014 and was cut by the second season of it.<\/p>\n
Saquon Barkley debacle<\/p>\n
Schoen and Barkley could never find an agreement on his value, and it culminated in Barkley leaving in free agency last year, signing with the Eagles and playing a central role in the bitter rivals winning the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Xavier McKinney decision<\/p>\n
Schoen let McKinney walk in free agency last year. <\/p>\n
After signing with the Packers, he was named a First-Team All-Pro and is enjoying a stellar season again this year.<\/p>\n
Julian Love decision<\/p>\n
Another safety Schoen let walk, this time back in 2022 in one of his first decisions, Love was a Pro Bowler the next year with the Seahawks and has since been a reliable starter.<\/p>\n
Somewhere in between<\/p>\n
Drafting Kayvon Thibodeaux<\/p>\n
Taken with the No. 5 pick in 2022, he has certainly not been a big hit. <\/p>\n

But it is probably not fair to call him a miss, as an above-average edge.<\/p>\n
Drafting Tyrone Tracy Jr.<\/p>\n
A fifth-round pick last year, he recorded 1,123 scrimmage yards and six total touchdowns as a rookie. <\/p>\n
But he lost his starting job this year and looks like a shell of himself.<\/p>\n

Drafting Abdul Carter<\/p>\n
He has shown flashes, but Carter has not yet been the game-wrecker the Giants hoped he would be when Schoen drafted him at No. 3 this past April.<\/p>\n
Drafting Cam Skattebo<\/p>\n
A fourth-round pick in April, he quickly became a fan favorite and emerged as a spark plug.<\/p>\n
