But there is also the possibility he just wasn\u2019t good.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Asked Friday about his confidence level in reverting to the old Francisco Lindor <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/21\/sports\/the-mets-2027-ambitions-come-with-massive-payroll-starting-point\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">next season<\/a>, the former All-Star was forthcoming.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no other option,\u201d he told The Post. \u201cI have to go back to being a plus player at shortstop.
