BROOKLYN, Illinois \u2014 A Pontoon Beach man is in custody in connection to a shooting that left a woman dead outside of a gentleman’s club in Brooklyn, Illinois.\u00a0<\/p>\n
26-year-old Malik D. Day, who was already in custody in Missouri, was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting that happened Sunday morning at the Club O Gentlemen\u2019s Club at 213 Madison Street, according to Illinois State Police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The shooting left 21-year-old Jon\u2019nae Abbott of St. Louis dead after gunfire from a passing vehicle struck her while she was in line waiting to enter the establishment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The agency says that, through an investigation, detectives identified Day as a suspect.<\/p>\n
