I grew up in New York City\u2019s shadow. And though I\u2019m a Jersey boy at heart, I still can never get enough of the Big Apple.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a kid, my dad would point at the NYC skyline and say: \u201cSee that? People travel from all over the globe for that view, and you have it right in your backyard. You can visit whenever you\u2019d like.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

As I\u2019ve grown older, I find myself coming back to that advice. The idea that a city as amazing as New York should never be taken for granted. But quick day trips don\u2019t always cut it\u2014proper NYC getaways are, sometimes, what\u2019s needed. Ones that don\u2019t require tracking NJ Transit schedules or catching a ferry home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Settling down, immersing myself in the neighborhood, and returning to that idea my dad instilled in me from a very young age.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To experience Manhattan at its best, there is no shortage of hotels to choose from. But when it comes to location, amenities, and everything in between, The Manhattan Club<\/a> is in a category of its own.<\/p>\n

The Suite Life<\/p>\n

The first thing you\u2019ll notice is, notably, what\u2019s missing: standard hotel rooms. The Manhattan Club\u2019s suite offerings are some of the best I\u2019ve seen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Options range from 284-square-foot Metropolitan Suites at the smallest, to the 1,357-square-foot Broadway Skyline Suite at the largest\u2014which sleeps six. Fitting six into one room is no easy feat in an NYC hotel, which often sacrifices space for location.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s my preferred stay: the Gotham Skyline Suite, which boasts sweeping views of the city, a plush king-sized bed, kitchenette, washer and dryer, and an espresso machine\u2014which, let\u2019s just say, gets a lot of use from me. Booking the skyline suite grants guests access to the 29th-floor outdoor terrace for another place to hang out and take in the views.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The range of rooms is impressive on its face, but it\u2019s what each one has\u2014kitchenettes, spacious floor plans, full baths\u2014that proves the Manhattan Club\u2019s ability to accommodate not just a weekend getaway, but longer stays for the whole family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Steps From Everything That Matters<\/p>\n

Of course, a great suite is a major plus, but it is Manhattan. You\u2019re going to spend a lot of time out and about.<\/p>\n

The Manhattan Club is in the heart<\/a> of the city. This is where I find myself again thinking about my dad\u2019s wise words: what do people travel across the globe for?\u00a0<\/p>\n

The legendary Carnegie Hall, which has hosted musical greats from Duke Ellington and Nina Simone to The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Yes, that Carnegie Hall\u2014it\u2019s just a two-minute walk from the hotel lobby. Madison Square Garden is right around the corner for music, sports, and everything in between.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Then, there\u2019s Broadway. The Manhattan Club is a 5-10 minute walk from the Theater District. That\u2019s something people traverse the globe for. Now, it\u2019s just a short stroll from your doorstep.<\/p>\n

The Museum of Modern Art is only 10 minutes on foot, while Central Park is even closer, and Times Square is 10 minutes the other way. And this is just what\u2019s accessible by foot. It\u2019s New York City. The entire world is a subway, taxi, or Uber ride away.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The neighborhood goes beyond the landmarks. NYC shopping (specifically here, in this neighborhood) is among the best in the world. Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, Tiffany & Co., the full lineup of Shops at Columbus Circle, all within a 10-minute walk.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s Waiting When You Return<\/p>\n

What sets The Manhattan Club apart from comparable Midtown options isn\u2019t just the location, but what\u2019s waiting for you when you come back.<\/p>\n

The Private Club Lounge<\/a> offers a relaxed escape with sweeping Manhattan views. I find it a proper place to decompress after a long day immersed in the hustle and bustle of the city.<\/p>\n

During your stay, you have full access to member amenities, including the fitness center, valet parking, and a concierge team that handles everything from an arranged car service to restaurant reservations, show tickets, and anything you can think of. If you want to turn your brain off and let them do the work of planning your day for you, it\u2019s not a problem. Seriously.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a lot of small touches that add up. And as a guest, I appreciate that.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Do New York Right<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t plan real trips to New York City often. Lots of quick visits, one-off dinners, concerts, sure. But it\u2019s rare that I actually stay even a few days in the city. As I get older, that\u2019s changing.<\/p>\n

Perhaps it\u2019s a lifelong quest to never take New York for granted. Its shops, restaurants, landmarks\u2014even just the vibe alone. It\u2019s intoxicating, and the allure only gets stronger with each passing year.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m at a point where day trips no longer cut it. I need longer stays with amenities, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, and, of course, a prime location. If I\u2019m booking a stay, it better be worthwhile.<\/p>\n

The Manhattan Club delivers on all of the above and then some. The central location and views alone are enough to call me back, but it\u2019s everything beyond that truly sets it apart from other Midtown hotels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going to do New York City, do it right. This is doing it right.\u00a0<\/p>\n
