The exuberant works illustrate Myers\u2019 forthcoming book, \u201cNight Ride.\u201d Depicting a group of New York City kids bicycling across the city, they are featured on the fa\u00e7ade, in the grand lobby and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bklynlibrary.org\/exhibitions\/christopher-myers-unbound\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">exhibit<\/a> also features two 40-foot tapestries showcasing characters and settings from often-banned literary works including George Orwell\u2019s \u201cAnimal Farm\u201d and Toni Morrison\u2019s \u201cThe Bluest Eye.\u201d The works align with BPL\u2019s mission to offer the public unlimited access to banned literature, the library said.<\/p>\n<p>Myers will be in conversation with film producer Karin Chien and Kokila Books President\u00a0 Namrata Tripathi on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m. on the topic of artistic freedom.
