According to amNewYork Metro<\/a>, the Legal Aid Society officially rolled out an Emergency Response Team on Sept. 21 intended to act within 24 hours and help families remain in their homes.<\/p>\n Here’s what to know<\/p>\n In the city’s most urgent housing cases, the team can ask a court to stop an eviction, keep a landlord from re-renting an apartment while a case is unresolved, and sometimes help tenants get back into their homes, amNewYork Metro reported<\/a>.
