\t\t\t\t @ Google<\/p>\n The Starbucks on the prominent Tribeca corner of West Broadway and Chambers, in the bottom of the Frederick Hotel, will close tomorrow. There\u2019s a sign on the door \u2014 and it tracks with the corporate announcement that the chain will close 250 stores across North America.<\/p>\n This one opened in 2000, according to the database Starbucks Everywhere.<\/a><\/p>\n There are 18,000 Starbucks, so this is just 1 percent of stores. But it also includes 99 Wall and 100 William, a reader just told me. They closed more than 600 last September, according to the AP.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWe have carefully reviewed our North America coffeehouse portfolio and identified locations where we do not believe we can consistently deliver the experience we want for customers and partners or where we don\u2019t see a path to acceptable financial performance,\u201d COO Mike Grams announced yesterday.<\/p>\n Over the past couple years, there has been a retraction of Starbucks in the neighborhood: the West Street location<\/a> closed in September 2025; the location at Greenwich and Franklin\u00a0closed the week before that.<\/a>\u00a0West Street\u00a0opened in January 2024<\/a>, just before the Greenwich location.
