{"id":357763,"date":"2026-09-26T20:30:07","date_gmt":"2026-09-26T20:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/357763\/"},"modified":"2026-09-26T20:30:07","modified_gmt":"2026-09-26T20:30:07","slug":"manhattan-pizza-opens-first-west-virginia-location-business-and-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/357763\/","title":{"rendered":"Manhattan Pizza opens first West Virginia location | Business And Economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>INWOOD &#8211; Brothers Jordan Whitehurst and Zach Zarou have spent most of their lives working in the pizza business, and now, they\u2019re bringing their family\u2019s business to West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>The brothers recently celebrated the grand opening of the first West Virginia location of Manhattan Pizza, which opened June 1 in Butler\u2019s Crossing in Inwood.<\/p>\n<p>Whitehurst and Zarou said they started working for Manhattan Pizza when they were children, with Whitehurst beginning around age 8 and Zarou around age 6.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started working in the kitchen, answering phones,\u201d Whitehurst said. \u201cMaking steak and cheese subs, doing everything. It\u2019s a family business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Manhattan Pizza chain has most of its locations in Loudoun County, Virginia, with additional locations in Maryland and two in North Carolina. The Inwood location is the company\u2019s first in West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>Whitehurst said the brothers chose the location because of the growing number of people from their area and local high schools moving into the Eastern Panhandle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis location just seemed like a good spot, a great community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Since opening in June, the restaurant has received a strong response from the community, the brothers said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been crazy.
