{"id":35890,"date":"2025-11-11T11:44:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T11:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/35890\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T11:44:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T11:44:07","slug":"draper-and-pegula-confirmed-as-playing-queens-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/35890\/","title":{"rendered":"Draper and Pegula confirmed as playing Queen&#8217;s in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The LTA has today announced that British No.1 Jack Draper and World No.6 Jessica Pegula have joined Carlos Alcaraz and Amanda Anisimova as early entries for the 2026 HSBC Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The HSBC Championships will return to The Queen\u2019s Club in June 2026 with the WTA 500 event running from 6-14 June before the ATP 500 event from 13-21 June.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Draper, who reached the semi-finals at The Queen\u2019s Club this summer said: \u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to being back \u2013 I played some really good tennis this year and it\u2019s one of my favourite tournaments, being in front of a home crowd, I just love the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got a picture of me next to the trophy when I\u2019m a kid and I\u2019m just about taller than the trophy so hopefully one day I\u2019ll get to lift it up. Queen\u2019s is one of the tournaments I want to win the most because it\u2019s my home tournament, a beautiful place and making the semi-finals this year, I just came up short, so next year I\u2019ll be really motivated to come back and go a couple of steps further.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>2025 saw the return of a women\u2019s WTA 500 event to London for the first time in over 50 years, creating a new fortnight of world-class tennis alongside the long-standing ATP 500 tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Jessica Pegula said: &#8220;I\u2019m really looking forward to playing the HSBC Championships at The Queen\u2019s Club.
