Queen Camilla livid at King Charles and palace as she felt Diana memoir drama was ‘avoidable,’ per source

According to a source cited by National Examiner, Camilla has worked for years to move beyond the public narrative surrounding her relationship with Charles and Diana. The latest claims in Spencer’s memoir have reportedly left her feeling that the old controversy has returned.

“She’s worked so hard to move past the whole narrative that she was the evil ‘other woman’ and now here she is, being dragged right back through the mud,” the source claimed. The insider also alleged that Camilla wants “some payback” over the situation. The claims follow the publication of “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” in which Spencer revisits his sister’s life, her marriage to Charles and the aftermath of her death.

Spencer, 62, makes several claims about the Royal Family in his memoir, including an account of Charles’ reaction after Diana died in 1997. According to Spencer, Charles sounded “giddily elated” when he contacted him after Diana died.

Spencer wrote that he later wondered whether Charles reacted that way because he believed Diana’s death would finally allow him to marry Camilla. The claim has drawn renewed attention because of the long history between Charles, Camilla and Diana.

The source cited by National Examiner claimed that Camilla believes she could have prevented the controversy. “This was avoidable, and she’s furious that more wasn’t done,” the insider alleged. The insider further claimed that people around Camilla are taking extra care with her amid the fallout. “She’s raging mad at everyone, including Charles,” the source alleged.
