{"id":359267,"date":"2026-09-28T22:38:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T22:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/359267\/"},"modified":"2026-09-28T22:38:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T22:38:09","slug":"mohawk-joins-tunnel-to-towers-5k-in-new-york-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/359267\/","title":{"rendered":"Mohawk joins Tunnel to Towers 5K in New York City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York, N.Y.\u2014FCNews publisher Steve Feldman and his son, Harris, joined Mohawk executives Sunday to brave a Nor\u2019easter and participate in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcnews.net\/2025\/10\/mohawk-embarks-on-tunnels-to-towers-run\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">25th annual Tunnel to Towers<\/a> (T2T) 5K.<\/p>\n<p>The event follows the route taken by FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller on Sept. 11, 2001, beginning near the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel and continuing toward the World Trade Center site. The run honors the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers and civilians who lost their lives in the attacks.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-79294 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/IMG_7100-300x225.jpeg&#038;nocache=1.webp\" alt=\"towers \" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"  \/>The firemen who kicked off the 5k, retracing the steps of their brothers who ran through the tunnel in full gear before climbing the stairs in the World Trade Center on that fateful day.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-79292 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/IMG_7087-225x300.jpeg&#038;nocache=1.webp\" alt=\"towers\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"  \/>From left: Jamie Kim, senior vice president of sales for North America at Mohawk; Jeff Meadows, president of Mohawk residential; and Bill Gaddis, director of national accounts for Mohawk.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-79293 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/IMG_7095-249x300.jpeg&#038;nocache=1.webp\" alt=\"towers\" width=\"249\" height=\"300\"  \/>Mohawk\u2019s Bill Gaddis has served on the Tunnel to Towers board since the foundation\u2019s inception.
