Authorities say the dump truck and the bicycle were both heading west on West 34th Street toward Seventh Avenue when the collision happened. She was riding an electric bicycle. One witness said it happened in an instant.<\/p>\n
Police say the dump truck kept going west without stopping. They stopped the 80,000-pound truck, which had New Jersey plates, around the corner at Fifth Avenue and West 35th Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It is not yet clear whether the driver knew the truck had hit anyone. Investigators continue to examine how the accident happened.\u00a0<\/p>\n
