Rather than staging a conventional runway show, the designer and Dr. Kevin Tehrani, the practice’s founder, built a private presentation meant to bring fashion, aesthetics, hospitality and personal interaction into a single room.

For a fashion trade audience, Aristocrat is not a familiar name the way Valley’s is. Dr. Tehrani founded the practice in Great Neck in 2003 and opened its Manhattan location in 2015, building a reputation over two decades on individualized care rather than public visibility. Setting a Fashion Week debut inside a plastic surgery practice was an unlikely choice on paper, which is part of why the presentation drew attention from people who might not otherwise cross paths with either the designer or the doctor.

A Presentation Built for Proximity
The event was conceived as a private presentation and client experience rather than a runway show in the traditional sense. Guests viewed the collection at close range and spoke directly with Valley as they moved through it, an arrangement that put the designer, the clothing and the audience in the same conversation instead of on opposite sides of a runway.

That structure reflected an emphasis both Valley and Tehrani place on individualized attention, whether the discipline is tailoring or aesthetic medicine. A runway asks an audience to watch from a distance. Aristocrat’s presentation asked them to look closely instead, the same instinct that shapes how Tehrani says he evaluates a patient before any procedure is planned.

The Manhattan Practice as Backdrop

Pieces from Alvin Valley’s latest collection on display at the pop-up presentation inside Aristocrat Plastic Surgery & MedAesthetics’ Manhattan practice. (Photo: Juan Esteban Ortiz)

The presentation centered on the practice’s private terrace, where running fountains and an open-air setting gave the collection an unlikely but fitting backdrop. Aristocrat’s Manhattan location, one of three the practice operates alongside Great Neck and Southampton, includes an accredited on-site operating suite for its surgical patients, though none of that clinical space was part of the evening. The reception and gathering areas nearby were built out instead with fashion displays, lighting, florals, refreshments and dedicated space for guests, additions that turned the practice into a fashion and hospitality setting for the night without erasing the architecture underneath it.

Where Fashion and Aesthetic Medicine Meet
The collaboration was built around a shared idea, that fashion and aesthetic medicine are both disciplines organized around proportion, individuality and confidence rather than a single garment or feature considered on its own. “Alvin and I share a belief that aesthetics should begin with an understanding of the complete individual,” Tehrani said. “He works through tailoring, structure and proportion, while I work through medicine, anatomy and aesthetic judgment. Hosting the presentation at Aristocrat allowed us to bring those disciplines together in a highly personal setting and create an experience centered on confidence, individuality and form.”

Tehrani draws a direct line between the two trades at work in the room that night. “I think about aesthetics as a whole,” he said. “My canvas happens to be the human body, while Alvin works through fabric, tailoring and silhouette. The materials may be different, but both disciplines require precision, judgment and an understanding of the individual.”

How the Evening Came Together
The collaboration grew out of a shared interest in building a more intimate Fashion Week experience than a traditional runway show allows. Valley and Tehrani saw an opportunity to bring their two communities together inside the practice and explore what fashion and aesthetic medicine actually have in common, treating proportion and confidence as the throughline between a well-cut jacket and a carefully planned aesthetic procedure.

An Evening That Extended Beyond the Collection

Guests and models at the Alvin Valley pop-up presentation pose beside pieces from the designer’s featured collection inside Aristocrat Plastic Surgery & MedAesthetics’ Manhattan practice. (Photo: Juan Esteban Ortiz)

Once the presentation wound down, the evening continued into a social gathering that brought together Valley’s clientele, Aristocrat’s own guests, invited media and cultural figures, and members of the practice’s medical and leadership teams. Guests were encouraged to talk directly with Valley, Tehrani and each other, a hospitality stretch that Aristocrat says was as central to the night as the collection itself and part of what separated it from a conventional runway show. Where a runway sends an audience home once the last look has passed, this format kept designer, physician and guest in the same room well after the clothing had been seen, extending the same close-range approach that shaped the presentation into the hours that followed it.

A Philosophy Shared Across the Practice
The individualized approach that shaped the evening runs through the rest of Aristocrat as well. Lauren Radecki, a physician assistant who works across the practice’s surgical and MedAesthetics sides, described how closely the two are connected in her own work. “Working alongside Dr. Tehrani in surgery gives me a deeper understanding of facial and body anatomy that directly informs my approach to MedAesthetics,” Radecki said. “Whether I am performing facial balancing or a nonsurgical body treatment, I apply that surgical knowledge to determine what will enhance the patient naturally. These treatments are still medicine. Safety, anatomy and clinical judgment must always come first.”

That same discipline, an insistence on understanding the whole person before making a single change, is what Valley and Tehrani pointed to as the reason the pairing made sense in the first place. A tailor and a surgeon rarely share a room, but for one night in September, Aristocrat’s Manhattan practice made the case that their instincts sit closer together than they look.

In partnership with APG

89 A private evening on the opening day of New York Fashion Week turned the Manhattan practice…

[35
133911,133912,1242,75,84,83,133913,9,24,6231,63,133914
post-360064","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-manhattan","tag-alvin-valley","tag-aristocrat-plastic-surgery","tag-fashion","tag-manhattan","tag-manhattan-headlines","tag-manhattan-news","tag-medaesthetics","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-new-york-fashion-week","tag-nyc","tag-tehrani
["GET
