The driver in a Brooklyn hit-and-run crash that killed a former Nickelodeon child actress has been arrested, according to police.<\/p>\n
Michael Griffiths was charged Tuesday morning in connection to the death of Kianna Underwood in Jan. 2026, police said.<\/p>\n
Underwood was crossing an intersection in Brownsville on Jan. 16 when she was struck by a black Ford Explorer SUV. While lying in the street, the 33-year-old was then \u201csubsequently struck by a black and gray sedan,\u201d the NYPD said at the time. She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Police said both drivers left the scene. Eight months later, the 72-year-old Griffiths was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. Attorney information for him was not immediately available.<\/p>\n
Underwood starred in Nickelodeon\u2019s popular children’s sketch comedy show, \u201cAll That,\u201d over seven episodes in 2005. Between 1999 and 2004, Underwood voiced the character Fuschia Glover in the Nick Jr. show, \u201cLittle Bill.” <\/p>\n
She also spent a year on the first national tour of \u201cHairspray\u201d as Little Inez. <\/p>\n
\u201cAll That\u201d was Underwood\u2019s last credited role.
