The Blue Township Fire District responded to the structure fire at 7:34 p.m. The fire was located in a storage area at the back of the building; however, smoke had spread throughout the building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fire was contained to the storage area and was brought under control by 11 p.m. One firefighter was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Officials say responders cleared the scene at 2 a.m. The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The response included 48 personnel and 15 apparatus from Blue Township Fire, Consolidated Fire District #1 St. George, Belvue Fire, Louisville Fire, Wamego Fire, and Manhattan Fire responded to the incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Pottawatomie County Sheriff\u2019s Office and six Pottawatomie County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel also responded to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>WIBW-TV CBS 13 Topeka<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Fire crews responded to a blaze at Feldkamp\u2019s Furniture store in Manhattan on Monday, Sept. 28.
