On September 29, 2026, at approximately 1:48 p.m., New York State Police in Chatham attempted to stop a 2024 Volkswagen traveling on State Route 9H in the Town of Kinderhook for a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.<\/p>\n
The operator, identified as Angelina J. Lopez, age 50, of Lake Wales, Florida, failed to comply with the attempted traffic stop, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated.<\/p>\n
The pursuit continued until the vehicle came to a brief stop at the intersection of State Route 9 and County Route 19 in the Town of Livingston. Lopez subsequently attempted to flee the scene, striking a New York State Police patrol vehicle with her vehicle.<\/p>\n
Lopez was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:<\/p>\n
