COURTHOUSE,
\n Sept 18 \u2013 Two men arrested for
\n drugs and guns in the Bronx
\n were to have their trial date
\n set by U.S. District Court for
\n the Southern District of New
\n York Judge Denise L. Cote on
\n October 31. Inner City Press
\n was there. <\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 The
\n complaint has photos of drugs
\n and guns, and a hydraulic
\n kilogram press and metal
\n plates bearing a Rolex logo
\n and a Nike logo. <\/p>\n

\u00a0 When Judge
\n Cote said April 13, defense
\n counsel said that lead counsel
\n had a conflict at that time.
\n She should have been here,
\n Judge Cote said, and set
\n another conference for
\n November 7 at 2:30 pm.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

There, she set
\n the trial for June 1, 2026
\n with defense motions due on
\n March 13.<\/p>\n

On March 13 the
\n Federal Defender filed a
\n motion to suppress two kilo of
\n cocaine found by a DEA search
\n of a car on West Fordham Road
\n in The Bronx, after officers
\n followed him in and out of 8
\n Fordham Hill Oval.<\/p>\n

On April 30, as
\n to co-defendant Gagot, a May 8
\n change of plea (to guilty)
\n proceeding was scheduled.<\/p>\n

He did plead
\n guilty on May 8 – the US
\n sought remanded but it was
\n denied – and sentencing was
\n set – on August 7, his lawyer
\n asked for 5 years.<\/p>\n

On August 19,
\n Gagot got just that: 5 years.<\/p>\n

On May 18 the
\n lead defendant pled guilty –
\n and unlike his co-defendant
\n was remanded to jail, with
\n sentencing set for September
\n 18.<\/p>\n

\n is USA v. Reyes, et al.,
\n 25-cr-502 (Cote)<\/p>\n
